RESURRECTION To Record New EP, Re-Release Debut Album

August 13, 2006

Tampa-based "classic" death metal act RESURRECTION, which was previously signed to Nuclear Blast Records, has launched its official web site, www.resurrectionmetal.com. You will find all the latest band information on the site, such as releases, merchandise, news, tour/show schedules, etc.

RESURRECTION is most widely known for its album "Embalmed Existence", released in 1993 through Nuclear Blast. The band will be re-releasing the CD with two new songs. In addition, RESURRECTION will enter the studio next month to record an as-yet-untitled four-song EP.

Commented guitarist and founding member John Astl: "We will be shopping the new EP to interested labels as well as distributing the disc via the web site. "Our current plans are to do an independent re-release of the 'Embalmed Existence' album (including two tracks of new material),which will be available through our web site, but we would also like to secure distribution of the album with an interested label." Astl added that "our focus has been on writing new material, so we haven't spent too much time contacting labels, but we will soon because we would like to have not only the 'Embalmed' record, but the new EP our by the end of the year."

RESURRECTION 2006 is:

John Astl - Guitar
Paul DeGolyer - Vocals
Kevin Astl (ADRIFT) - Drums
Scott Patrick (COUNCIL OF THE FALLEN) – Bass
